The Rio Verde Fire District (RVFD) serves an unincorporated area in the pristine desert foothills northeast of Phoenix . The priority of the fire district is to provide a superior level of customer service to the citizens of this community. In addition to the basic requirements, individuals desiring to join the RVFD team should possess a strong sense of kinship and social acumen that exceeds traditional standards. The Rio Verde Fire District seeks individuals whose passionate desire is to provide value added service to the community, excel in fire service advances, and elevate to an exceptional level of customer care.
RESERVE FIREFIGHTER STAFFING
The Rio Verde Fire District is accepting applications for Reserve Firefighter staffing. The RVFD defines a Reserve Firefighter as a suppression employee who is scheduled only on an as needed basis.
Reserve Firefighters are required to submit a minimum of two 24-hour shifts of availability each 28-day work period and may not work in excess of nine shifts (or 216 hours) per 28-day work period.
The successful applicant will be placed on the employee roster to work shifts when there are openings due to vacation/sick time or other special staffing needs.
Minimum Qualifications

Firefighter I & II

Arizona EMT or CEP (CEP requires current ACLS and PALS or PEPP certification)

CPR Pro
-
High School Diploma or GED

Valid Arizona Drivers' License

Pre-employment MVD Record and Background Check

Pre-employment Drug Testing
