The Rio Verde Fire District anticipates hiring no less than three full-time firefighters in July 2024. If necessary, new hires will begin employment as civilians and attend a regional academy beginning mid-September. 

Timeline:

  • Applications accepted beginning Monday April 8, 2024

  • Application deadline 11:59pm on Friday, April 26, 2024

  • Orientation opportunity on Monday, April 15th to learn about our organization

  • Interviews tentatively scheduled for the week of May 20, 2024

FULL-TIME FIREFIGHTER STAFFING

The Rio Verde Fire District anticipates hiring no less than three (3) full-time firefighters around mid-July.  To be considered for this hiring, applications must be received by 11:59 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024. Interviews are planned for the week of May 20, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Arizona EMT or CEP (CEP requires current ACLS and PALS or PEPP certification)

  • CPR for Healthcare Providers

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Arizona Drivers' License

  • Successful completion of a CPAT from a licensed agency within the last 6 months  (for those currently employed with a Phoenix Regional Automatic Aid Agency, proof of successful Department Physical within the last 12 months may be accepted in lieu of CPAT)

  • Pre-employment MVD Record and Background Check

  • Pre-employment Drug Testing
