Nancy Sewell
Board Chairperson
Nancy Sewell and her husband Norm have been Arizona residents since 1995, first living in Troon North. After years of driving through Rio Verde, they decided to explore the Verdes to see what each community had to offer. Liking what they experienced, the warmth of the people they met and the sense of community, they purchased a home in Tonto Verde and became full-time residents in 2004.
Nancy received her BS in Computer Science from James Madison University. She recently retired from IBM as a Senior Managing Consultant and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt after a highly diversified 38-year career in technology, business transformation and project management. Nancy has worked with companies in both the Public and Private sectors. Some of her Public sector clients included the Office of the Secretary of Defense, National Guard Bureau, Arizona Department of Transportation and the Social Security Administration. Her Private sector work experience was with DuPont, Honeywell, American Express and GE Healthcare.
Nancy and Norm are both avid cyclists and golfers.

Jeanne Finney
Board Clerk
Jeanne Finney is originally from Minnesota and is a full time resident of Tonto Verde. Jeanne and her husband Nigel retired and moved to Tonto Verde in January 2008. They were drawn to the community by the quiet remoteness of the area and access to the activities they love.

Professionally, Jeanne received her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and then went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota. She completed her residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Following medical school Jeanne practiced with a successful private internal medicine group in Minneapolis for 22 years.
Jeanne and Nigel love the Tonto Verde community and all that it has to offer. Both are active in the Rio Verde Tennis League and the Tonto Verde Golf Club and are avid cyclists. Jeanne enjoys cooking, reading, painting, and giving back to the community she loves.

Pete Sturman
Board Treasurer
Pete Sturman and wife Eileen have been full time residents of Tonto Verde since 2001. Prior to that, they lived in Scottsdale for eight years. Pete is originally from Connecticut.

Pete spent 24 years working for the Stanley Works in various financial positions, the final of which was President and General Manager of Jensen Tools. Pete has lived in various states across the U.S. and in the United Kingdom.

Pete enjoys traveling and playing golf. He is active in Habitat for Humanity. Pete is the onsite habitat volunteer construction coordinator and a member of the Verdes Habitat Advisory Board.

Harold Tabor
Board Commissioner
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Harold retired after a distinguished 31-year career in public
education. His career began in 1986 as a teacher with the South Carolina Department of Mental
Disabilities, where he initially worked with individuals with disabilities before transitioning into the
role of Director of the Adult Workshop Program.
In 1999, Harold moved to Berkeley County School District, where he led an innovative initiative to
integrate students with multiple disabilities into community-based job placements that matched
their individual skill sets. His dedication to serving students with special needs continued when he
became a classroom teacher in 2007, working with students with severe disabilities and autism.
In 2012, Harold took on a new challenge with Charleston County School District, where he served as
the Coordinator of Certified Recruitment. In this capacity, he managed a department of recruiters
tasked with hiring more than 300 certified teachers each year. Additionally, he played a pivotal role
in recruiting and hiring principals and directors for the district's 84 public schools.
Harold holds a B.S. in Psychology from the College of Charleston and a Master of Education in
Secondary School Administration from The Citadel. He retired from public education in 2016,
moving to Arizona with his wife Margaret in 2018.

Dave LeMoine
Board Commissioner
David and his wife Sherrie moved to Tonto Verde in early 2016. They moved to Arizona to get closer to their sons and their families which live in
the Bay Area.
David retired from Hallmark Cards Inc. after more than 40 years of service in 2011. The majority of his career at Hallmark was spent at the corporate
headquarters in Kansas City serving in a variety of management positions in product development and marketing. In 1999 David joined the international division of Hallmark and moved to Shanghai, China where he served as a general manager for a company Hallmark had established in China. Upon returning to the US in 2002, David continued working in Hallmark International serving as the International Product and Licensing Director.
David served on city councils for Leawood and Prairie Village, two Kansas communities in the Greater Kansas City area.
David and Sherrie are members of Pinnacle Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale where David serves as an Elder and Chair of the Personnel Committee. David also has Co-Chaired two pastoral search committees at Pinnacle that were responsible recruiting and hiring two associate pastors and the current senior pastor.
