The Rio Verde Fire District anticipates hiring six (6) full-time firefighters on or around July 1, 2023.  Applications must be received by 11:59 pm on March 31, 2023 and interviews are planned for mid-April.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Arizona EMT or CEP (CEP requires current ACLS and PALS or PEPP certification)

  • CPR for Healthcare Providers

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Arizona Drivers' License

  • Pre-employment MVD Record and Background Check

  • Pre-employment Drug Testing

  • Successful completion of a CPAT from a licensed agency within the last 6 months  (for those currently employed with a Phoenix Regional Automatic Aid Agency, proof of successful Department Physical within the last 12 months may be accepted in lieu of CPAT)




  • Vacation and Sick time
