The Rio Verde Fire District (RVFD) serves an unincorporated area in the pristine desert foothills northeast of Phoenix .  The priority of the fire district is to provide a superior level of customer service to the citizens of this community.   In addition to the basic requirements, individuals desiring to join the RVFD team should possess a strong sense of kinship and social acumen that exceeds traditional standards. RESERVE FIREFIGHTER STAFFING

The Rio Verde Fire District continually accepts applications for Reserve Firefighter staffing.  The successful applicant will be placed on the employee roster to work shifts when there are openings due to vacation/sick time or other special staffing needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Firefighter I & II
• Arizona EMT or CEP (CEP requires current ACLS and PALS or PEPP certification)
• CPR Pro
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pre-employment MVD Record and Background Check
• Pre-employment Drug Testing
• Pre-employment physical
